Resume writing workshop 2021

On 8 Dec, SIMYEN held its first ever resume writing workshop conducted exclusively for SIMYEN sub-committee members and Excos. The workshop provided valuable feedbacks based on current resume content submitted by the each member and the speaker offered constructive tips and advice on how to further improve resume writing in order to stay competitive when applying for jobs and internships in the future. The workshop also covered the importance of having Linkedin, types of connections to make and avoid and how it could potentially impact one's career success and opportunities in the future.

Overall, the workshop was successful. Given that a strong resume is critical and necessary in securing a job and internship position, participants were able to identify their mistakes and areas of improvement and make necessary changes to their resume. This enables them to compete with the peers in a better position. We believe such workshop would add values to our members!
